Western Digital’s new SSD built for pros

Western Digital’s new high performance My Passport Wireless SSD is available now, with prices starting at $429 for 256GB to $1399 for 2TB.
The SSD is designed for photographers who require durable media storage solutions which are fast and reliable.

The SSD comes with an SD card slot and one-touch copy button, that provides a simple and portable transfer solution from camera card to drive with read speeds up to 65MB/s.

When connected to a computer via the USB 3.0 port, the My Passport Wireless SSD is capable of a 390 MB/s read speed.

The solid-state drive also has a Wi-Fi feature that allows multiple devices to wirelessly connect to export RAW images, edit them, or stream video. A built-in battery provides up to 10 hours of use, and can also serve as a mobile phone charger.

My Passport Wireless SSD was unveiled at the CES 2018 trade show in Las Vegas earlier this year, but only just hit shop shelves in Australia.

Pricing is $429 for 250GB, $529 for 500GB, $849 for 1TB and $1,399 for 2TB.
