Fujifilm seven up with X series

Fujifilm has announced late June availability of the $1050 Fujifilm X-T100, a compact 24-megapixel mirrorless camera which now sees seven models in the X-Series range.

The sensor is not Fujifilm X-Trans but conventional Bayer array. The X-T100 has an electronic viewfinder, a horizontal tilting rear LCD screen, and weighs just 448g.

It has an anodised aluminium top cover, ‘providing a retro look with a luxury feel’ and will come in three colour variations – Black, Dark Silver and Champagne Gold.

The camera is also equipped with a phase detection autofocus system, which Fujifilm says offers faster and more precise focusing.

It will be offered in a kit with the newly released Fujinon XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ  lens for $1049.

Artistic expression made easy with unique Film Simulation and Advanced Filter modes
The X-T100 offers 11 variations of Fujifilm’s unique Film Simulation Modes and 17 variations of Advanced Filters, making advanced artistic flair easy with the reproduction of film-like colour tones and artistic expression.

In addition, the setting adjustments are quick and easy, with one-step operation possible via the function dial, exposure compensation dial, and touch-and-flick function on the rear LCD monitor.

FUJIFILM Australia National Product and Marketing Manager – Electronic Imaging, Alex Zitser, said the X-T100 will appeal to a wide range of enthusiasts at any stage of their photographic journey.

“The camera offers an extensive range of features designed to boost freedom in photographic expression, making it the perfect companion for a broad range of shooting opportunities,” Mr Zitser said.

The X-T100 will be available in a kit bundle with the FUJINON XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ zoom lens. The kit will be available in late June 2018.

The recommended retail price for the kit is $1049, including GST.
