ACMP invites members to Annual Meeting

The ACMP has announced the date and location of its Annual General Meeting, which welcomes ‘Full Members’ to attend and vote on the board election. The meeting will also reveal a report of the directors and the accounts for the financial year that ended in June.

acmpPro Counter recently reported that an anonymous e-mail had been circulating among ACMP members and former members, which suggested that some are dissatisfied with the direction the association has taken lately. The association responded indirectly to these claims with an e-mail and post entitled ‘Moving Forward in a Continuous Motion’, which abstractly addressed some of the issues. Read more here.

The AGM will take place in Melbourne on December 3, and may provide an opportunity for the board to reveal the true state of affairs to its members, or at least allow members to ask ‘some pertinent questions’ in person.

Lisa Saad, Robert Anderson, Richard Weinstein, Ellen Dewer and Matthew Vasilescu are all offering themselves for re-election as directors.

Brett Anthony is too offering himself for re-election as a director after being co-opted, and Robert Catto is offering himself for election as a director.

Donald Clarence Douglas is also up for re-appointment as the company’s auditor.

Those who cannot attend the AGM are entitled to elect a proxy – who must be a fully paid member – to vote on behalf of them. Proxies must be submitted by November 26.

The 2014 Annual General Meeting of the Association of Australian Commercial and Media Photographers will be held on December 3 at 6:00pm at PhotoImage College, 8-14 Eastern Road, South Melbourne
